Will the army move my new spouse when we get married?
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan. When I get home I am getting married. I PCS'd to a new unit right before I deployed and did a full DITY move.I Did not use up all of my weight allowance. When I get back and get married will the Army pay to have my new spouse moved to my duty location? I am unable to get in touch with the transportation office at my duty station to ask this question due to the time differences. Thanks for the help.

- I'm not sure but I think it will move your spouse
- Once they move you that's usually it. Only one move per duty station.
- no because your orders you were given when you pcs'd were for a single servicemember with no dependents.
- They should, but here's the thing. Once you get married, you can move ONE and only one house of things. So let's say you live in Texas, and she lives in Florida. They will only move ONE house of belongings. But, they might not because like the person above said, you were PCS'd while you were single. I would talk to your chain of command and see what they say. Then go from there
- no. she is an acquired dpendent and you used a move.. doesn't matter that you did not max out on the weight allowance.
- Because you were single when you PCSd, that is what your orders called for. You will have to move her yourself.
